You don’t have to do train every day or participate in a sport to need a massage.  It has many benefits for the mind and body, for everyone.

From massage therapy derby, you can choose a relaxing, therapeutic full body massage which can include the face and the feet, or if you have specific areas of pain you can opt for a sports massage, which is a deeper massage and directed to ease discomfort in the problem area.

It’s also a great opportunity for you to have some ‘me’ time.  If you are busy looking after everyone else, just take an hour out and indulge yourself with massage therapy derby.

If you’re not already aware of the benefits of regular message, here are a few:

  • It counteracts all the sitting that you do

Most of us have some kind of postural stress, which more often than not affects the neck and shoulders.  People who sit at a desk all day may have pain and weakness in the lower back caused by prolonged periods of sitting.

A regular massage will help to counteract these imbalances caused by sitting at your desk.

  • It eases muscle pain

Massage increases and improves circulation.  It helps to rid the muscle of toxins whilst encouraging the flow of blood and nutrients in to the muscle to help repair the damage

  • It soothes anxiety and depression

Human touch in a safe, friendly and professional context can be very therapeutic and relaxing.

Massage soothes, relaxes and improves the mood.

  • It improves sleep

Massage can encourage restful sleep and help those who can’t comfortably rest.

  • It boosts immunity

A 2010 study published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine found that massage boosts white blood cell count, which plays a large role in defending he body from disease

  • It relieves headaches

It you’re prone to headaches, try a regular massage.  It will relieve stress and tension in the upper back, shoulders and neck, as well as calm the mind.  Massage can decrease the frequency and severity of tension headaches.

    What my clients say

    • Alison
I have trained with Kim for several weeks.  She has put together an exercise programme for me to do on my own at home, and given me nutrition ideas so that I can lose weight.   She always brings different equipment so the sessions stay fresh and enjoyable.  I haven’t really trained before, but I am starting to see the difference with the exercise I am doing.

    • Malcolm
Having suffered with tight neck muscles for years, after 3 sessions with Kim it all became very flexible again and stayed that way for many months.  A top up massage ensures my neck remains flexible and the service is flexible too with appointments easily made.

    • Linda
I have been seeing Kim for about 10 years.  I get very sore muscles as I sit at a desk all day.  Kim always sorts me out, a deep but lovely massages sets me up for a few weeks.  She is brilliants at what she does.  Thoroughly recommend her.

    • John
After undergoing surgery many years ago for a sequestrated disc my movement (especially on the squash court) has been somewhat restricted.  Over the last ten years, Kim has been successful in helping me reduce this problem (with regular massage), which allows me to continue to play squash. After discussing Kim’s personal training qualifications with her, I booked some trial training sessions and found these so beneficial that I now have a regular twice-weekly appointment.  Kim arranges a very thorough training programme – she researches her exercises carefully to suit changing ability and is always prompt, efficient and well organised.  I do not hesitate to recommend her.
